Volunteering

There are tons of ways to help out at Joyce!

Volunteering in the classroom:

• Read books to the children
• Assist children working on the computers
• Share a musical instrument
• Help with a craft project
• Lead a small group game (i.e. Bingo, Go Fish, etc.)
• Science activity
• General assistance in the classroom (playing with children in the dramatic play areas and with table toys)

Volunteering in the school office:

• Making photocopies, helping prepare materials for the classroom
• Help with making phone calls
• Answer the door bell when families are arriving and departing
• Data entry and accounting support
• Assist with school mailings

Volunteer in your home by:

• Preparing materials and activities for the classroom (a teacher will give you complete instructions)
